Dubai in particular offers extensive freehold zones, including Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, Business Bay, and JVC. The UAE government has made it increasingly simple for international buyers to own property, with full legal protection under UAE law.

Dubai has consistently ranked among the world's top-performing real estate markets. Key factors include zero property and capital gains tax, high rental yields (typically 5–9% annually), a growing international population, continued mega-infrastructure development, and a strong regulatory framework under the DLD and RERA. Growing Golden Visa eligibility linked to property investment adds further appeal.

Off-plan properties are purchased before construction is complete, directly from the developer — offering lower entry prices, flexible payment plans, and high appreciation potential by handover. Ready (secondary market) properties are completed units available for immediate possession or rental income, with no construction risk and transparent pricing based on actual market transactions.

The minimum investment typically starts from around AED 400,000 to AED 500,000 for an apartment in well-connected areas, though entry-level off-plan can sometimes be acquired for less. Beyond the purchase price, account for the DLD registration fee (4%), agency fee (~2%), NOC fees, and potential mortgage and service charges.
